Check your trip payment schedule to avoid late fees!

Ski Trip Payment Schedule

 

With planning for winter ski trips upon us, we wanted to review the club’s “Ski Vacation Trip Payment Policy and Schedule”. Sign-ups commence with the September meeting.  We have only two payments.  Payment #1: at least ½ trip price; Payment #2: balance of trip price- (see trip ads for exact amounts). The first payment is due at the time that you sign up, and the second payment is due by Oct. 15^th. 

 

 The trip price increases by $30 for those who sign up for a trip (or its wait list) after October 15th.  If you sign up after Oct. 15^th, the full trip price plus $30 will be collected at that time.

 

 If the second (Oct. 15) payment is received by the trip leader more than seven days after it is due, the late fee penalty is $20. In other words, the second payment is due by October 15, so a late fee will be charged if the payment is received after the one week grace period (after October 22). Also, a $20 penalty fee will be charged for any check returned to the Club’s Assistant Treasurer for non-payment by the bank.

The trip leader will inform the trip participant of any late or penalty fees, which must be paid immediately. The trip leader may cancel a member from the trip if full payment, including all applicable penalty fees, is not received by the trip leader within 17 days of the final payment due date (by November 1^st). If a member is cancelled from the trip for these reasons the member will receive a refund in accordance with the club’s Cancellation and Refund Policy. All applicable penalty fees and the cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. Any Council member and your trip leaders can provide a photocopy of the full Payment & Schedule upon request.
